Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is an authentication method in which a user is granted access to their dashboard after successfully presenting two pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism, such as email/SMS security code, Google authenticator password.
After you have input your email and password when logging in to the Neat dashboard, we will ask you to fill out an “authentication code”. You can get the code either via email or any application that supports the Time-based One Time Password (TOTP) protocol e.g. Google Authenticator.
The authentication code is sent via email by default if you have not set the authenticator. Simply copy and paste the code into the authentication screen.
You have the accessibility to change the way you receive the One Time Password (OTP) and can select either email, SMS or App Authenticator. This feature is located on the “Profile” page under the “Security” tab.
